Sherford Housing Development

Prior to the construction of the major housing development of Sherford, on the outskirts of Plymouth, Durham Consultants undertook an extensive EcIA of the surrounding landscape, most of which consisted of agricultural pasture of low ecological value.  Included within the development area were two small streams, the Sherford Stream and the Billacombe Brook. Lee Knight was sub-contracted to carry out surveys of their aquatic invertebrate fauna in order to provide input to the ecological assessment before works commenced.
